The transnational cultural itinerary, the rout of the iron in the Pyrenees has create is web side. www.ironrouteinthepyrenees.com; wants to show in an easy way the 26 resources that composes this route and participate in the divulgation of the knowledge and comprehension of the history of Europe.

This new web has been created with a modern and easy design for navigating to obtain information in an easy way about the different places to visit and creating new adventures, either by areas, issues (mines, forge and iron working areas) or categories (museums, monuments and routs). Due to the linguistic diversity related to the different countries that took part in this route the web side is actualized in five different languages (English, Spanish, Catalan, French and Basque). Also, the aim of this web is to divulgate the different activities developed by the association such as expositions, contests, conferences...

On the other hand, this platform wants to increase and promote the communication between the different members of this web, like a private area to exchange information and documents to make easier the collaboration in different programs and projects.

Great success in the exposition of ·”The Pyrenean Iron Route” with more than 40.000 visitors

In December of 2019 the exposition of “the industrial heritage of the Pyrenean Iron Route” ends. This project started at the program of 2018, the European year of the cultural heritage, and it has move in three countries (Spain, French and Andorra), showing in 16 different cultural installations.

With the objective to show the diversity of the rout and the different resources of the iron that unifie the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, the exhibition was divided in five concepts; the industrial heritage and the cultural routes, the transformation process of the iron, the mines, the work of the metal and the cultural landscape.
